France is a wonderful country. The landscapes, the culture, the cuisine… And so much more! So many things to do, so many historical paths to explore!
Did you know? France is the number one tourist destination in the world!
The elopement of your dreams might just be in this country, what do you think?
If you're asked about gastronomy, you'll undoubtedly mention French cuisine among the top three, that's for sure. But you should know that what is called the "gastronomic meal of the French" was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list in 2010. This French tradition, which has endured for years, is now recognized throughout the world!
All that's left is for you to come and celebrate your elopement in France, to eat, drink, and party!
As passionate food lovers, my family and I can help you choose your menu according to your tastes and pair it with the perfect wine! Contact me to know more about :)
France boasts over 1200 museums, most of which are located in its capital, Paris, home to the world's most famous museum: the Louvre. This abundance of art and culture has allowed the country to rise to prominence among the world's leading nations. How about getting married in one of the most beautiful museums of our civilization, surrounded by paintings by the most prestigious artists of recent centuries? Wouldn't that be wonderful? You could also head to the magnificent Loire Valley castles, where you could admire the Château de Chambord, a marvelous jewel of the Renaissance; a place where both Francis I and Louis XIV resided.
What do you think? If this gives you any ideas, send me a message so we can discuss making it happen!
If majestic mansions don't interest you at all, let's move on to the landscapes that France has to offer!
Let's not only think about the cuisine and culture; a little relaxation (or not...) amidst the vast panoramic landscapes that nature provides would certainly be welcome.
Let's see what kinds of landscapes you could elope to and celebrate your love surrounded by your loved ones.
An elopement on a small French island, where age-old traditions thrive, such as the cultivation of salt, wine, and oysters. Your love celebrated on an island beach, while you cycle along the small country roads to enjoy an oyster and wine tasting with local producers before returning to your evening venue, where you'll dance the night away, illuminated by the soft glow of string lights.
Doesn't that sound like a dream?
For sailors – experienced or amateur – I've chosen to show you a little corner where land and sea meet. Yport and Fécamp (and their neighbor Étretat) are tidal ports. For those who want to enjoy the pebble beach and the many cliffs that adorn the towns, you'll feel right at home.
Of course, you can sample some dishes with a taste of the sea, such as shellfish and fresh fish... but also pork stew with cider or buckwheat pancakes!
Let yourself be charmed!
This lake, with its very distinctive, almost unique appearance, is a geological gem: it's a rare place where you can observe the remnants of three geological eras in the same location!
But what makes it so popular is the contrast between the blue color of the lake and the red rock known as "ruffe" (clay sediments that are rich in iron oxide): it's like having planet Mars right here on Earth :)
Are you a big fan of architecture and history? Would a luxurious elopement in one of the majestic castles of the Loire Valley appeal to you? There are dozens of castles just waiting for you to celebrate your elopement. From hidden gems like the Château de Rivau and its gardens, to the very famous castles of Chenonceau or Chambord... The choice is entirely yours!
Don't hesitate to contact me so we can plan your elopement together! I haven't included all the locations I had in mind; the article would be endless otherwise. But don't worry, I have other places just as stunning as these <3
Let's not forget, Reunion Island is French! You just have to endure an 11-hour flight (from Paris) to land on an island rich in colonial history and with landscapes more incredible than the next!
Beaches, volcanoes, cirques, forests, and stunning sunsets and sunrises… You will undoubtedly find a perfect spot on this "rock" to create the elopement of your dreams!
Because it's a country rich in history and art... Don't think you know every detail of this hexagonal country...
To help you, I'm giving you some clues to help you plan your elopement in France.
This natural site is a striking and mysterious dune. Its sheer size makes it the tallest dune in Europe: 103 meters high, 600 meters wide, and 3 kilometers long. But that's not all! This protected area also features a pine forest on one side and the vast ocean on the other.
A magnificent location for an elopement, nestled in a setting of natural beauty.
For lovers of wide-open spaces dotted with mountains, peaks, and rugged summits, the Alps are a fascinating place to elope. There are so many panoramic views to admire… Imagine reaching the summit of a mountain and then skiing or snowboarding down, before enjoying your wedding meal in a chalet in a nearby resort, surrounded by cozy blankets and cushions.
This region, while certainly rainy, possesses a truly remarkable natural beauty: It is sure to captivate you when your search for a place in France leads you here.
